For schools from Thuringia
Schools from Thuringia can apply to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport for reimbursement of travel and program costs of up to 500 euros.
The application must be submitted to the responsible school authority at least eight weeks before the start of the trip.
For schools and groups from Hesse
The Hessian State Center for Political Education reimburses schools and groups of 10 or more people from Hesse up to 60 % of the
Travel, admission and program costs incurred during visits to memorial sites.
The application is submitted online via the portal of the regional center and must be submitted at least four weeks before the start of the trip.
For schools from the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg and the Werra-Meißner district
The State Education Authority in Bebra provides the Schifflersgrund Border Museum with an annual budget so that schools from the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district and the Werra-Meißner district can receive the educational programs booked at the Schifflersgrund Border Museum free of charge.
As long as funds are available from this budget, admission fees and costs for booked educational programs are covered by the school authority. The border museum takes care of the billing.
