Remembering the experience of dictatorship, promoting historical awareness and strengthening democracy.

The Schifflersgrund Border Museum is a historical place of learning for democracy education. Our educational programs focus on the history of German dictatorship and division after 1945 as well as German unity and the transformation since 1989/90. Our educational program is aimed at all age groups and learning levels. Depending on the size of the group, the time available and the desired focus of the content, we offer various educational formats.

In this online training course, the Schifflersgrund Border Museum presents the new 360° learning landscape "Border Stories", shows examples of its use and invites you to discuss contemporary digital and hybrid teaching and learning methods.

Workshop, Interview with contemporary witnesses

This workshop includes an interview with a contemporary witness. The pupils work out a guideline for the interview in advance using a short biography and some sources.
