Due to renovation work on the bridge in Bad Sooden-Allendorf, access to the border museum from the direction of Kammerbach is currently closed. The signposted detour leads via Orferode and Frankershausen.
In mid-October, Hessen Mobil began construction work on the bridge structure of the state road 3239 in Bad Sooden-Allendorf, which passes under the federal highway 27 and the Werra. First of all, the roadway connection to the bridge structure in the Bad Sooden area will be repaired, as there are numerous cracks and depressions in the road surface here. In the course of this construction work, it is necessary to divert traffic in the direction of Bad Sooden and Kammerbach using a one-way system. This means that traffic coming from Kammerbach cannot drive over the bridge towards Allendorf or onto the B 27. Inter-urban traffic will be diverted via Orferode and Frankershausen. The one-way system will be in place from the An den Soleteichen/Am Haintor/Berliner Straße junction. The street “Hainbachwiesen” can be reached via “Am Haintor” and Bismarckstraße. Pedestrians should use the B 27 underpass to cross the road safely. All other traffic routes will remain open for the time being. The route will be fully reopened to traffic over the winter months. The construction work will then continue on the subsequent sections from spring 2025.
